Présentation officielle : Being conscious that whatever the source of water pollution might be, it would generate effects detrimental to the environment and the population, the different actors that are part of the WISE project consequently decided to have a common approach of the issue, by collecting all relevant information that might help combating water pollution. To this end, the opportunities for the sharing of data and information have been identified and the principles of a shared and accessible data and information management system have been outlined, so has the potential for coherence with other reporting mechanisms.
